IGCNC works on human brain mapping. The pre-clinical goal focuses on the organization in functional connectomes of structural and functional data, which are integrated within a normalized multidimensional brain. The connectomes are co-registered with brain maps built from medical imagery, such as diffusion tensor imaging, functional magnetic resonance imaging or molecular imaging. The maps are used to treat patients suffering of handicap, e.g. consciousness trouble post stroke or trauma, and neurologic diseases, e.g. neurodegenerative or genetic. The team is multidisciplinary and performs translational research applied to clinical neuroscience. IGCNC works with industrial partners and collaborates with other research groups in France and abroad.
